Fish formations

I was particularly interested in formations in schools of fish and how they change formation together in response to changes in their environment. I visited the Science Museum one day and noticed an exhibit which showed cross-sections of stones with a weathered texture. When I saw the exhibit, I did not immediately make the connection between the stones and the fish, but took some photos of the exhibit because I have the habit of recording things I find interesting. Sometime later, I gave a presentation on fish formations and, after the presentation, it was suggested by my course director that I find some more examples of how formations in nature can change in response to changes in the external environment. I looked back at the photos I had taken of the stones she had seen at the Science Museum and realised that they would make a good example as some of the textures of the stones were similar to the shape of fish formations!
