Inkredible analogy

I was doing a project on redefining the ecosystem and didn’t have any idea about how I could do it. After one of my lectures, some of my classmates mentioned that a certain art supplies shop had a sale on and suggested that she came shopping with them. I went with them, looked around the art shop and noticed some ink. This reminded me of the pattern that a drop of ink makes in water and triggered a connection between the ink and my existing ecosystem research – as both the ink travelling through water and an ecosystem have some uncontrollable random parameters. This gave me the idea of representing part of her redefined ecosystem as ink. That evening, I drew some diagrams to think about how ink works and how ecosystems work and how to relate them together and then went back to the art shop and bought the ink I had seen.
