Stephann Makri, Mel Woods and actress Emma Bloomer have been hard at work in the sound studio at DJCAD, University of Dundee, recording voice overs for 35 serendipity stories gathered during interviews with researchers.

‘Stories of Serendipity’ will uncover researchers experiences of serendipity, and will be illustrated by Ink Evangelist Johanna Basford who will bring to life the narrative through her intricate and detailed work to reveal the ephemeral nature of serendipity.

Mel Woods said

Animating and narrating stories of serendipity will capture the delight and amazing connections that humans can draw from what at first glance might appear to be the most unlikely connections. The SerenA project will showcase ‘Stories of Serendipity’ to bring to life real experiences of researchers across a range of disciplines. The team are particularly pleased to be working with Johanna Basford, whose highly detailed work will perfectly compliment the intricacy of the stories themselves.

‘Stories of Serendipity’ will be launched in December 2011. For further information about the project contact Mel Woods or Mhari MacDonald.
