Visiting the same patient

On April 23, 2012, I was visiting my brother-in-law in hospital. He had cancer and is now in remission. In the hospital hallway, I met my brother in law’s cousin, who was also visiting my brother-in-law. We knew of each other and had asked about each other, but had never met – and my sister has been married to his cousin for 17 years! Anyway, we started dating the next day.

Many things happened the night we met; I was going to go to the hospital at 5pm, but my sister said to go at 6:30 since that was when she was going. My friend Kurt did not have his kids that Monday night and didn’t get a chance to visit over the weekend. He went at the same exact time as me. I had forgotten about Kurt. I was not hoping he was at the hospital that Monday night. But he says he was hoping that I was there, since he knew of me and wanted to meet me. It was definitely Serendipity that night! Another weird thing is my ex husband worked with Kurt for many years – and we never met thru their work. Kurt and my brother-in law-work together too, but we never met that way either! It was only through the hospital visit. And luckily, my brother in law is in remission.
